Here’s something I don’t think photographers talk about enough - your input during a shoot actually makes my job better.
I know what you’re thinking. You are the photographer. Isn’t it your job?
Yes. And also you know your brand better than anyone on the planet. You know what might feel off. You know what represents you and what doesn’t. As an example as it relates to the picture I am showing here, you may notice a specific light on the device isn’t on. That instinct is valuable and I genuinely want it in the room.
When a client steps in, speaks up, points something out and says “can we also try it this way?”- magic happens. Some of the best images have come from these moments. This isn’t just photography. It’s collaboration. Your voice and vision, my eye and my light. Together makes a powerful combo.
